FC200 Cast Iron Properties
FC200 gray cast iron provides good compressive strength, excellent vibration and noise damping, good machinability, and inherent lubricity due to graphite flakes in the microstructure. Tensile strength is approximately 200 MPa.
Large Module Applications
Cast iron gears are commonly specified in modules 4 through 10 for large machine tools, presses, industrial drives, and other heavy-duty applications where vibration damping and cost are primary selection criteria.
